Note from James and Ailsa Clark
“We came to Blairmore back in 2013 after a long search to find the perfect forever home. We decided after we got married that we would like to live in the countryside, however, our jobs at the time wouldn’t allow for commuting and so we starting working on the idea of a lifestyle business, and boy did we find one. We quickly got to work with the assistance of architects, family and friends to develop a plan of renovation of our farm steading into 6 holiday cottages. Moving to Blairmore has created the perfect life for James and I and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
Fowlis Wester
The area of Fowlis Wester is steeped in ancient history with many cairns and standing stones close by. An original pictish standing stone is housed in the village church. Also in the beautiful local church is a piece of tartan that was taken to the moon as part of one of the Apollo missions in 1969. Within an easy drive you’ll find the Tullibardine Chapel, one of the most complete and unaltered medieval churches in Scotland; Drummond Castle Gardens boasting one of the finest gardens in Scotland and the Dupplin Cross, another superb example of Pictish art.
