Frequently asked questions

Q. Are dogs allowed?

A. Yes, we welcome dogs at Blaimore, all we ask is that they are kept on a lead at all times on the farm for theirs and the farm animals safety and that they are kept off all the furniture. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the bedrooms.

Q. How much does it cost to bring a dog?

A. £10 per dog per stay

Q. When do we pay the balance of our booking?

A. We will send you a bill via text the evening before you check out. There is a payment link in that bill so all you need to do is click on the link and follow the on screen instructions.

Q. How do you work the electric door locks?

A. Please don’t worry about this. We send you a text to download the app and register, just follow the instructions on the screen and we will send the key to the app and a video with step by step instructions. If you don’t have a smart phone don’t worry about this either we do have key fobs and we can send you the video on how to use them as well.

Q. Do you supply travel cots and high chairs?

A. Yes we can provide a baby pack for infants. The cost for this is £20.00 . This includes a travel cot, with linens suitable for a child up to 2 years old, a high chair, baby bath and child gates.

Q. Can we have visitors during the day and evening at our cottage?

A. Yes of course we would be delighted if you would like to have a couple of visitors to your cottage whilst you are staying here. However, large additional parties are strongly discouraged as they can impair our other guests enjoyment of the peace and quiet of Blairmore. Additional guests staying over night are strictly prohibited.

Q. How and when can we order from the Farm Kitchen?

A. You can order by emailing us  or by phoning us on 01764 683789 at least 3 days prior to your arrival to order your food. This is to ensure that we have it all ready for you and enough meals made.

Q. Where is the Farm Shop?

A. During Covid we closed our Farm Shop, however, we are able to supply all our produce to our guests for either having here to taking away. Just send us an email and we will be happy to help.

Q. When is the Horsepower Bar open?

A. The Horsepower Bar is open during our high season (mid-April to end of September) from Tuesday to Saturday and on special request outside of these times. Unfortunately we are not able to open the bar at the moment as a result of flood damage that occurred during the storms earlier in the year. Keep a look out on our social media for more information about when we are able to open!

Q. Are the gardens enclosed?

A. The gardens are all enclosed with fences and gates.

Q. Do you have BBQs?

A. Yes we do have BBQ’s. Each cottage has a gas BBQ which takes propane gas. You are free to either bring your own gas bottles or rent one of ours for the duration of your stay. The cost of this is dependent on the cost of gas bottles at our time of purchase as this is currently fluctuating greatly.

Q. Are your cottages wheelchair friendly?

A. We have two cottages that are wheel chair friendly. Ard View and Orchard Cottages. Full details of these cottages and accessibility statements are available at:
Ard View
Orchard Cottage

Q. Can we get a tour around the farm?

A. We love showing our guests the farm. We have currently suspended in person tours during the Covid-19 pandemic as members of our family are shielded. We have developed a DIY Farm Tour Book. Please just ask for one when booking with us!
